HR Strategist

• Six-month contract
• Responsible for providing strategic human resources leadership for the organization, directly supervising a team of up to five, implementing important policy decisions, reviewing operational policies and procedures and ensuring policy awareness, promoting a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale, overseeing budgeting and auditing for their business unit, ensuring all legal and regulatory documents are filed, monitoring compliance with laws and regulations, leading a process to modernize performance evaluations across the organization, leading the process to evaluate and revamp job descriptions across the organization, coordinating recruiting efforts, reviewing and refining the onboarding process, providing training and coaching to staff, resolving conflicts through professional mediation, conducting performance and wage reviews, creating clear and concise reports, preparing and delivering effective and engaging presentations, reporting on workplace health and safety compliance, and handling workplace investigations and disciplinary/termination procedures Significant experience in management, operations, and leadership
• Must be extremely well-versed in HR legislation such as Bill 168, the Employment Standards Act, relevant health and safety laws, and general performance management
• Experience in human resources, including change management, performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations required
• A degree in Human Resources is an asset
