Instructional Designer

($60,000-$75,000/year)

 

  • Full-time, Evaluation Hire role
  • Responsibilities will include designing a variety of instructional materials for instructor-led courses and online programs, designing formative and summative assessments and meaningful course interactions to increase learning and retention, interacting with clients to collect information needed to meet project goals, writing course content based on input from subject matter experts and training evaluation data, adapting instructor-led courses to online learning platforms, analyzing courses to ensure they meet or exceed organizational standards, providing reports for accreditation reviews, supporting the instructor accreditation process by providing training and expert advice to instructors on course content and delivery, managing multiple projects and tasks using online project management software, and participating in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define goals and direction
  • At least three years of instructional design experience required
  • Post-secondary education with a specialization in adult learning or equivalent experience is ideal
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills are a must
  • Specialized training or education in educational technology is preferred
  • A degree in English, Communications, or Education is ideal
  • Ability to travel and work overtime to attend and conduct presentations is required
